Upgrading DocuFire Server from a prior version:
The majority of DocuFire Server settings are retained during and uninstall / reinstall process. To upgrade DocuFire Server, first uninstall the existing program from the Microsoft Windows Add/Remove Programs menu and then re-install DocuFire Server as you normally would. Settings such as activation and system manager configuration are all retained. This process must be performed on the DocuFire Server Server and all Client Stations.
PowerFax upgrade notice:
DocuFire Server replaces MK PowerFax. If you have MK PowerFax installed, you will need to remove the program and install this one. All licensing and configuration should be preserved in the process. Formerly issued MK PowerFax Serial Numbers are automatically converted to the DocuFire Server Server Suite.
WinFax Troubleshooting:
MK Software has discovered a limitation whereby WinFax begins to malfunction when the number of jobs in the WinFax database exceeds more than 2000-5000 records. This includes the sum of the Outbox, Receive Log, Send Log and Wastebasket. For reliable operation, clear out the send log and wastebasket frequently, additional troubleshooting steps can be referenced by visiting the WinFax Support page at Symantec using the link provided below.
